Terms of Service

01 Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, obtaining an API key, or using the PropSports API service (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Customer," "you") and PropTechUSA.ai, operated by Justin Erickson ("PropTechUSA.ai," "we," "us").

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email.

02 The Service

PropSports API provides real-time sports data via a REST API. The Service includes:

• API endpoints for MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL data (schedule, live scores, statistics, odds, weather, umpires, Statcast)
• API key-based authentication and rate limiting
• Developer documentation at propsports.proptechusa.ai/docs

The Service is provided "as-is" with best-effort uptime. We do not guarantee 100% availability, though we target 99.9% uptime on an ongoing basis.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any endpoint at any time with reasonable notice to active subscribers.

03 API Keys & Accounts

Upon successful payment, an API key is generated and delivered to your registered email address. Your API key is your credential and your responsibility.

• Keep your key secret. Do not commit it to public repositories, expose it in client-side code, or share it with unauthorized parties.
• You are responsible for all API usage made with your key, whether authorized by you or not.
• If your key is compromised, contact us immediately at 1-888-784-3881 and we will revoke and reissue it.
• One API key per subscription. Keys are non-transferable.

You must provide accurate registration information (name, email) and keep it current. Fraudulent or inaccurate information may result in immediate termination.

04 Plans, Pricing & Rate Limits

PropSports API is offered under the following plans:

Prices are in USD and billed monthly via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Rate limits reset at midnight UTC. Exceeding your rate limit returns a 429 Too Many Requests response.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to active subscribers. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.

Refunds: Due to the nature of API key delivery, we do not offer refunds on subscription charges. If you experience a technical failure on our end, contact us and we will make it right.

05 Permitted Use

• Build web applications, mobile apps, or tools that display or analyze sports data
• Power internal dashboards, analytics tools, or research applications
• Create derivative works and products based on the API's output
• Use data in commercial products, provided such use does not violate these Terms
• Access the Service programmatically within your plan's rate limits
• Cache API responses temporarily (up to 1 hour) to reduce request volume

06 Prohibited Use

• Resell raw API access. You may not create a competing API service that simply proxies PropSports API data to third parties without substantial value-add.
• Exceed rate limits through automated scraping, bot traffic, or artificially distributed requests across multiple keys.
• Share or distribute your API key to unauthorized users or as part of a multi-user service without an Enterprise agreement.
• Use the Service for illegal purposes or in connection with illegal gambling, match-fixing, or fraud.
• Misrepresent data accuracy in safety-critical or legally sensitive contexts.
• Reverse engineer the Service to reconstruct underlying data sources, authentication mechanisms, or infrastructure.
• Automated abuse — use scripts to enumerate endpoints, probe rate limits, or stress-test the infrastructure.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate key revocation and account termination without refund.

07 Data Sources & Accuracy

PropSports API aggregates data from public sources including the MLB Stats API, NHL Stats API, NBA Stats API, Baseball Savant (Statcast), ESPN, and Open-Meteo (weather). These are the same sources used by major sports analytics platforms.

While we make best efforts to provide accurate, timely data, we make no guarantees of data accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Sports data is inherently real-time and subject to correction, revision, and delay.

You should not use PropSports API data as the sole basis for financial decisions. We are not responsible for losses arising from reliance on API data in any context, including sports betting, fantasy sports, or financial trading.

Source APIs may change without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain endpoint compatibility, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access to any specific data field.

08 Intellectual Property

The PropSports API platform, including its infrastructure, documentation, code, design, and branding, is owned by PropTechUSA.ai. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service within the scope of your plan.

Underlying sports data (game scores, statistics, player information) is sourced from public APIs. We make no claim to ownership of raw sports data. Your use of such data remains subject to the terms of the original data sources.

"PropSports API," "PropTechUSA.ai," "PropBetEdge," and associated logos are trademarks of PropTechUSA.ai. You may not use these marks without prior written permission.

09 Termination & Suspension

By you: You may cancel your subscription at any time through Stripe or by contacting us. Your key will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your API key and account immediately and without notice if:

• You violate these Terms, particularly the Prohibited Use section
• Your payment fails and remains unresolved after 7 days
• We determine your usage is abusive or harmful to the Service
• Required by law or to protect the rights of third parties

Upon termination, your API key will be revoked and access to the Service will cease. Termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund.

10 Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA PROVIDED WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK.

11 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PROPTECHUSA.AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

12 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ramsey County, Minnesota.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
